Bundesliga 2022/2023: Matchday 7 with interesting duels!

Borussia Dortmund – FC Schalke 04

After the re-promotion to the first class, the only goal for the Schalke is the class retention. And so far, things are going reasonably well. After 6 games they are in 12th place in the table. After 2 defeats and 3 draws, followed last Saturday the first triple in the small Revierderby against Bochum. This victory could have brought a great deal of confidence. Not to be neglected in such a game are the fans, here of course the home team has the great advantage – this is today the BVB. Schalke are missing Brunner and Kaminski injured.

Basically, these duels are always something special and something surprising can always happen (see 2:4 / 4:4). Bayer 04 Leverkusen – Werder Bremen

Bayer 04 Leverkusen wants to make the previous disaster season quickly forgotten. As a participant in the Champions League thanks to a good pre-season, you are after 6 matchdays on the relegation place 17. Only Bochum is currently worse. Especially the defense has too many gaps with 11 goals conceded. This crisis could not be overcome last Saturday in the 2-2 draw against Hertha. Hope, however, is the strong 2-0 success in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid. Now this momentum must be taken into the game against Werder. But even the historical comparison does not speak for the Leverkusener. Of 95 games they won only 25, Bremen a whole 9 more. Most recently, there were two draws in a row. Furthermore, Adli, Bellarabi, Lunev, Palacois and Wirtz are missing injured.
