DFB Poakl Final

The time has come! Today the cup final starts in Berlin between RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund. The game is led by referee Dr. Felix Brych.
It is almost impossible to identify a favourite in this match, although Borussia Dortmund have won both matches in the league. The last direct duel took place last weekend. BVB narrowly won 3-2. A hugely important victory for the Black Yellows, because that’s how you stand on a Champions League place. This gives confidence for the upcoming tasks – including for today’s cup final.
Leipzig, on the other hand, are certainly qualified for the Champions League due to an overall strong performance this season.

RB Leipzig

The Leipzig way to the final was very confident overall. There were significant victories in the first rounds against Nuremberg, Augsburg and Bochum. In the quarter-finals followed a confident 2-0 success against VFL Wolfsburg. RB did not score a single goal until the quarter-finals. In the semi-finals they were particularly difficult against Werder Bremen, but they were able to win the game at the last minute in extra time.
RB has an offensive pressing system, which provides defensive stability when executed consistently. This is evidenced by the fact that RB has the best defense in the league with only 28 goals against. Against Borussia Dortmund last weekend it didn’t work out that well. There they scored 3 counter-attacks. They need to get a better grip on that today, otherwise it could be very difficult for RB. For RB, it would be the first title in the club’s fledgling history if they can win today.
As far as the personnel situation is on, it must be mentioned that, surprisingly, the left defender Angelino will not be in the squad. Trainer Nagelsmann did not want to elaborate on this decision. Hin contrast is Christopher Nkunku is back in action.

Borussia Dortmund
